Product Showroom features decks, patio covers, gazebos, fences and arbors. In addition to the high quality of our products and service, we are also quite proud of our "showroom" - approximately 6,000 square feet of outdoor display area featuring full-sized installations of many of our products.
When you visit, you can see real examples of decks, patio covers, fences, gazebos and arbors. Our displays are exposed to all the weather and foot traffic that your project will be exposed to (if not more) so you can compare how different materials will wear over time. Our experienced staff is always available to help you compare options and answer questions about your project. Berco Redwood has good news for our environment. We are all becoming more aware about the effects we have on our environment. Our Story

It started in 1982 with a 27 year old who had the dream of opening a lumber yard to serve the Sacramento area.

Married to his high school sweetheart, a 2 year old son and another baby on the way Tim Berry opened Berco Redwood (Berry + Company = BERCO)

As most beginnings this one started with a lot of humility; one pick up truck, one forklift, a trailer, black top and Tims mother in law who worked for IOU’s and Sees Candy. It slowly grew and more employees joined the company, many of them still a part of the family today

The early days were filled with long days at the Sacramento Home and Garden Show. It was a family affair where Tim’s 3 kids would hand every attendee a redwood tree seedling and he would spread the news of all Berco Redwood offered. Employees would show up early and leave late to fulfill every last order that was received.

The heart of the company has always been family and community. Berco has touched every inch of Sacramento and beyond supporting sports teams, women’s shelters, local parks, foster care, law enforcement, Eagle Scouts and so much more.

In 2008 Berco purchased a yard directly across the street and Berry Lumber came to be. This provided a place for contractors and homeowners to find high quality lumber, hardware, siding, fascia, trim and other building materials.

There always seemed to be a need for a yard in Roseville. In 2013 the opportunity came, and Berco Redwood in Roseville opened. For years Tim had his eye on a building in El Dorado Hills and saw the growth coming to that area. Berco of El Dorado Hills opened in 2018.

In 2020 when the world flipped upside down and redwood supplies became uncertain, another huge leap of faith was taken and Berco opened a mill in South Sacramento. With an average of 30 cars wrapped around the building every morning during the pandemic, Berco was able to supply fencing directly from the mill when it could not be found anywhere else.

The growth over forty years comes with humility and gratitude. Berco Redwood and Berry Lumber continue to operate from those early year principles… quality materials, customer service and hard work. Now it’s just with more equipment and help.
